D2SHOE History
Don Lamson of D2SHOE started making cycle shoes and cycle specific orthotics back in 1986.
His first shoe company was called DONI which had a Lycra mesh upper and a molded PU outsole. Inside was a triple foam core carbon / fiberglass sole. This was mainly a production line.
Lamson Designs (2nd company) was the first custom shoe company to offer truly custom fit for cyclists. He translated his knowledge of orthotics in biomechanical alignment for skiing into cycling over 25 years ago into cycling. With this critical experience in hand, Don's cycle shoes have always been designed specifically for use with custom orthotics.
